CMAS Nitrox Instructor Course
Course Overview
This course is designed to teach recreational instructors to teach to dive safely using
nitrox with an oxygen content up to and including 40%.
Pre-requistes
Minimum age of 18.
One Star instructor certified.
Proof of 10 logged Nitrox dives.
Details of the course
The Nitrox Diver instructor covers:
- Oxygen physiology
- Nitrogen narcosis
- Nitrox Dive planning
- Equipment requirements
- Gas mixing techniques
Course duration and number of dives
The Nitrox instructor course is a 2 day course and 3 dives are required.

Equipment requirement
The Nitrox instructor course has no specific equipment requirement more than your
standard recreational dive gear. We do however require that all instructors carry a spool,
SMB and wriste slate.
