CMAS Extended Range Instructor Course
Course Overview
This course provides the understanding of subject matter relating to Extended Range diving
including accelerated decompression utilizing Nitrox mixtures or oxygen for dives up to
55msw that requires stage decompression. The objective of this course is to train
instructors to teach proper techniques, and hazards of deep air diving.
Pre-requistes
Minimum age of 18.
Two Star Instructor certified.
Advanced Nitrox Instructor certified.
Extended Range diver certified.
Proof of 15 certified Nitrox divers.
Proof of 50 logged Nitrox dives of which 25 extended range dives.

Equipment requirement
The Extended Range instructor course has uses a technical gear configuration. All
students must own or purchase a spool, SMB and wrist slate. We supply the double tanks,
decompression tanks and mixes, the decompression regulator and the oxygen analyser.
